ir. Wessel Blom
Wessel Blom heads up the Enterprise Architecting and Solution Architecting group in the Netherlands. The team is responsible for translating customers’ business and functional requirements into propositions and solutions that Verizon can provide, across all of Verizon Business’s technology service areas. The consultative approach applied, will ensure that the solutions provides the customer the best possible business results. This includes the enabling of: effective & secure global communications, easy & secure access to all corporate information and delivery of applications from our global, enterprise grade cloud infrastructure.
Wessel Blom has over 20 years of experience in the ICT industry. He started his career with Verizon Business in 1998. His initial role was in sales responsible for developing business with several large enterprise customers globally. In 2001 he took on the task of developing the Business Consultancy practice in the Netherlands. In the years hereafter he headed up teams responsible for Technical Sales Consultancy, Service Management, Bid Management and Project Management. Since several years now he is heading up the Solution Architecting organization in the Netherlands.
Prior to working for Verizon Business Wessel Blom worked at a company offering Wireless Data Communication Applications and Services. Within this company he was initially involved in rolling out the communication infrastructure in the Netherlands and Belgium. Later he took on the role of selling wireless applications and solutions to enterprises.
Wessel Blom holds a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology. He has broad experience in global ICT business in general and in enterprise communications services more specifically, this includes IPT, video, security and cloud concepts. Wessel holds several certifications, including TOGAF9, CCSK (Cloud Security) and ITILv3.
